“To me, photography is an art of observation. It’s about finding something interesting in an ordinary place… I’ve found it has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them.”Elliott Erwitt
Specializing intimate weddings, receptions, small gatherings and special occasions.
In a world of 30+ wedding television shows, hundreds of wedding websites and thousands of awe-inspiring pins, it’s no wonder why the “best day of your life” ends up becoming one of the most expectation driven, stressful events that you barely even get to enjoy. My goal is to attract clients that want to cut through the continual noise and wedding clutter and shift their focus to what truly matters: You + Your Love + Your Commitment To One Another.
I love capturing the beauty even in the subtlest things. It doesn’t matter if I’m shooting in an old church, dusty barn, hotel ballroom or the price of the dinner plate. All events, people, and places are viewed through the same lens: unique, important, special, and worth remembering. Memories, moments, and special details are being made constantly and I live to capture them.
My style is primarily photojournalistic/documentary in nature and uses mostly natural lighting when possible. I prefer to stay behind the scenes in most cases, as I feel it enables me to capture the rawness of moments, when people are experiencing, feeling, and expressing their truest emotions.
The day of the wedding you can expect me to be pretty quiet. Depending on the hours of coverage, each wedding produces an average range of about 400-900 finalized photos. All images are lightly edited with modest colors and tones to stick to as true to the moment that your memory recollects, as possible. Click here to learn more about my packages and pricing.

Listed below are some of the common questions that I receive when clients are looking to book a photographer. Please don't hesitate to contact me if there are other questions that you may have.
First, send me a note through my website to let me know you're interested. If we think we're a good fit, we'll meet and chat at a local bakery or coffee shop - or we can chat over Skype. From there, if you're comfortable with moving forward, once you sign the contract and submit your deposit, your date is then officially reserved! I will check in 1-2 weeks before the wedding to get your final timelines and then we're good to go! The remaining balance is due on the day of your wedding.
All edited photos are posted online to your password protected gallery within 4-6 weeks of your wedding date. Your USB thumb drive and accordion book will ship out within a week of your online gallery posting.
Wedding days can get quite hectic and sometimes can get a little off schedule. I completely understand! Should you end up needing an extra hour or two of coverage the day of, a special hourly rate will be added to your total bill. Payment will need to be remitted before final photos are delivered. Please don't hesitate to contact me for more information.
Some of my clients prefer to have a 2nd shooter on hand either the full day, or for a few hours. I have a list of fellow photographers that I trust to be by my side. If you think you would like to have two shooters, please let me know as soon as possible so I can begin reaching out to see who is available for your date. Pricing is based on an hourly need and will be in addition to my standard pricing package.
While a shot list of any formal family photos is most definitely helpful and welcomed, I try to avoid agreeing to extensive detailed shot lists and/or a collection of images from Pinterest that you hope to re-create. While a Pinterest board of photos you like would definitely help to me to get a sense of the overall style of imagery you hope to have from your wedding day, time spent trying to re-create these images perfectly usually results in less time spent capturing the day as it naturally unfolds, which is usually where all the magic happens.
I would be happy to show you an entire gallery during our initial meeting. Feel free to peruse my Love Stories section to get an idea in the meantime.
Accordion books are a playful alternative to the traditional book and are perfect for the coffee table. They measure 4×8″ in size and are custom designed for each of my booked clients. Click here to learn more about why I create accordion books, as well as to see samples of the final product.
Do you live outside of the Pittsburgh area and/or out of state? Not a problem! I am willing and LOVE to travel, so if you're interested in having me document your wedding day, please send me a note with some detailed information about your date, timeline, and location, and I will customize a travel rate specifically for you.
All images are lightly edited with modest colors and tones, as to stick to as true to the moment that your memory recollects. My main focus is on photographing the way people love. Your wedding photos will be a testament to the fact that you are loved just the way you are. What someone sees when they look at your wedding photographs isn’t the size of the bride’s waist, it’s the size of her smile, and the glow that emits from her face when she’s standing next to her new husband.
Will I remove blemishes, sure! But at heart, my goal is to create authentic images. So, if you’re looking for that little extra editing mojo, then I’m probably not your gal 🙂
